Russ August & Kabat lawyers Jules Kabat and Robert Gookin won a complete defense victory and a defense award of attorney’s fees and costs defeating eight figure multi-million dollar claims regarding a luxury resort development in Mexico.
Among other claims and demands for actual and punitive damages, the plaintiff asserted fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of covenant of good faith and fair dealing and alter ego liability. Their victory was in spite of the plaintiff waging what the judge described as “a sort of unlimited legal war.” The decision was a complete victory for RAK’s clients.
